Christopher N. Hofmann instantly fell in love with blowing glass at the age of 17 in the Toledo Museum of Art's original hot shop. He holds a BFA in Sculpture, Jewelry, and Hot Glass from Columbus College of Art and Design, where he was exposed to Venetian techniques, sculpting, small scale metal fabrication and other mixed media. Shortly after graduating in 2008, he went on to become a Tech Apprentice at the Pittsburgh Glass Center from 2010-11.
Chris now works as a full time technician and instructor at PGC, all the while continuing to hone his Venetian practices, pursue the sculptural applications of the material, and sharing his love of glass through teaching.
